When is the last time you exercised and had fun? I mean enjoyed what you were doing and not bored with the same old routine? You were able to enjoy movement and without fear of injury and ridicule! Our bodies are machines and we are programmed to move. Without functional movement our bodies will cease to run efficiently! Aches, pains, weight gain and inflammation will take over robbing us of our freedom and youthfulness.

WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program.  CrossFit is not specialized but seeks to create and maximize cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. In order to accomplish these goals, CrossFit incorporates constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement.  In our gym, you will find weights, tires, boxes, barbells, kettlebells and medicine balls.  You will not see treadmills, ellipticals, or weight machines.  You will see people engaged in a combination of sprinting, jumping rope, climbing rope, flipping tires, weight lifting, carrying odd objects, box jumps, barbells, dumbbells, gymnastics ring work, pull-ups, kettlebells, medicine balls, and bodyweight exercises.

CrossFit encompasses exclusively with compound weight and body weight movements and high intensity cardiovascular sessions.  It’s intense.  At first, you may think you cannot do it, but that’s okay.  The goal is to build your fitness.  It’s okay to start where you are,  our skilled trainers will scale the workouts for your appropriate fitness level. All fitness levels are welcomed and will be encouraged!

CrossFit begins with a core belief in fitness as fundamental to quality of life. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness.  CrossFit is a  program that will best prepare athletes for any physical obstacle that may be encountered.  Rather than training your body to do several movements over and over again, the varied workouts workout parts of your body that you never knew existed.

The goal of CrossFit is to not specialize in anything.

CrossFit Fundamentals 

In 12 sessions you will learn all of the fundamental movements needed to safely and effectively perform CrossFit workouts. Our Fundamentals class is designed to go over each movement in a slower and more detail oriented pace than a normal CrossFit class. This allows for more instructional time and personal attention by the coaches in the critical initial learning period. Each Fundamentals class runs Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:30pm and Saturday at 10am. If your schedule doesn’t work with those times, please contact us and we can try to schedule something that fits.  Each class is an hour in length. The class consists of a warm up, movement skill and practice, and then a full CrossFit workout. The class always closes with stretching and cooling down.

 

 IS CROSSFIT FOR ME?

 The answer is YES! CrossFit is for everyone. From elite athletes, children to grandparents, everyone can benefit from CrossFit.  Leave all your fears behind as I take you on a journey that will transform your body and reenergize your spirit.

You will see increased power, strength, cardiovascular circulation, respiratory endurance, flexibility, stamina, coordination, agility, and balance. By working on these general physical skills the mundane daily activities will seem simple and carefree. The tasks of chasing your children, lifting your groceries, working on those home projects will not leave you gassed and recovering for days after.  You and your body will have purpose and you will achieve your lifelong goals making you look and feel amazing!

As your coach I am not only your trainer, but I am here to help you master life’s challenge’s by instilling a never quit mentality.  I believe that family always comes first and with you we will build a community that will foster lasting relationships.
